It was the fanciest tea party I have ever attended. It was like, bougie Christmas, but for kids.
Rewind to Sunday, December 5th. It was snowing. A lot. But Emily had a tea party planned, dangit! And it was magical. Something about making the mad dash from your car into Babb's Coffee House. The warmth and smell of delicious coffee drinks in the air. It just made you feel cozy.
Emily and her helpers with The Story Nook and Simply Dweh put together an amazing Nutcracker Tea Party. Pastel pinks, sagey greens, the whitest whites. I was more than happy to take some detail shots before all the ladies showed up.
There were desserts, tea, hot coco, and punch, with all the toppings you could imagine. Just enough for the little ladies to get a sugar high. Perfect little Christmas tree plates, nutcracker napkins and cute little spoons that each person got to take home.
Emily thought of it all. She even had real ballerinas! They showed the girls a few ballerina poses and took pictures with them.
The highlight to me, though, was story time. It was The Nutcracker by Jan Brett. You can get it from The Story Nook! It has a twist on the classic story and it held the attention of the little ladies.
Bottom line, I had a great time covering this event. Shooting the details before everyone showed up was so relaxing. Seriously guys, it was SO beautiful. I cannot wait to see what Emily with The Story Nook comes up with next!
